About dormant account

1. What is a dormant account?

A Futu HK account becomes dormant if there have been no trades, deposits, withdrawals, stock transfers, or account information updates made within the past two years.

2. What happens if my account becomes dormant?

If your account is inactive, it may be at risk because it is monitored less frequently. To protect your account and assets, functions like trading, deposits, withdrawals, and asset transfers will be restricted on dormant accounts.

3. How can I tell if my account is dormant?

● You can check if your account is dormant by looking at your transaction history for any activity in the past two years.

● We will notify you through in-app messages and emails if your account is dormant.

● If you attempt any trade, deposit, withdrawal, or asset transfer on a dormant account, a pop-up will prompt you to reactivate it.

4. How can I reactivate my dormant account?

● If you receive an in-app message or email reminding you to reactivate your account, use the link provided in the message or email to reactivate it.

● If you encounter a reactivation pop-up window while making a trade, deposit, withdrawal, asset transfer, etc., follow the instructions on the pop-up window to reactivate your account.

● Tap the search icon in the upper right corner of the app, type Dormant Account in the search box, and tap the Reactivate Now button that appears to reactivate your account.

Please follow the instructions to complete the verification process. Once it is complete, your account will be reactivated immediately.
